Say Jay Speculations

I made it through my third Monday. After determining last week to not complain the whole day and succeeding fairly well, I tackled today with a similar resolution.

I shouldn't be surprised, but one's attitude and resolve to have a particular outlook truly do affect the day's proceedings. Despite only a few hours of sleep the last week, and a nasty test today and... well, you know how my typical mondays look... I truly am able to look back and praise God for the good work He did in my life today simply by sustaining me and my attitude. It wouldn't have been possible had I not leaned upon His counsel early in the morning.

It's a pleasant surprise to finish the day and smile that it's over and find that you're still breathing. That sounds melodramatic, but I sincerely wake up filled with dread on Monday mornings. That dread is now changing bit by bit to eagerness to see how God is going to bring me through it once again.

I have 4 straight free hours tomorrow afternoon, though, and right now, that thought is as good as sitting in a hot tub.
